Withall due respects to the e-commerce ventures...

Thesurvey reports by those fancy researches always show the graph of e-commercemarket India soaring northward, exponentially!!! No doubt everybody wants toget a slice from this pie. But whatfascinates is everybody thinks they can get it easily, just because it is agrowing market. What does it take to start a online business? You may find stepby step guide to start an online business starting from 1. Create a logo withany domain name available, 2. Host an open source or paid e-commerce engine3.Run Google ads and ~~spam~~ campaign daily on mail and SMS 4.Startshipping through any courier service and rake in profits. Even the Terms andFAQs are copied verbatim. Try Googling them with quotes ;)

Itsure does seem simple and this is what 90 %(a conservative figure) ofe-commerce sites are doing. This is exactly the reason for many 'passionate','dynamic', 'Alumni from II (Insert your favorite alphabet) ' jumping on thebandwagon with generous VCs giving them tickets. Now let’s analyze some of thetrends in this scene.

1. Creating Niche segment - Do this simple exercise.Make a list of all the product categories and sort them according toneed-for-look-and-feel in descending order. On the top you will have Jewelry,Home Décor, Apparels and on the bottom you have Books and Electronics and manyother categories lying in between these two extremes. Amazingly, the number ofe-tailers catering to all these categories from top to bottom is equallydistributed. The top ones try to cater to the niche segment and the bottom onesthink they have a large market to cater. Both are failing miserably, becausepeople do not trust sites on the top for their luxury needs and the bottom onescannot compete with each other on price. Some shut shop before anybody noticesit while some try to expand their product lines forgetting what they wanted tobe initially. Examples being daily deals site becoming an e-tailer and viceversa and creating multiple domains for every segment.

2. Carrots - Register and stand a chance to win aiPad 2. Pay Rs.50 and get Rs.500 off (90% off) on your purchase atmetoo-commerce.com. Needless to say, terms and conditions apply. Rs.250 off on your next purchase for everyreferral is again a common strategy. Only people who think these strategieswork are the BD Guys. The reason they think it would work is that somebodyelse is doing. Of course, who wants to be called old-school? There isdefinitely a need to innovate in user acquisition, far more than accumulationof likes on Facebook fan pages, again in return of Rs.500 gift points.

3. Some more signs - What should you say when ‘popular’e-commerce site start selling bikes and cars online!!! Of course, you cannotpay online for those but you can leave your phone number to get a prompt callfrom the dealer. e-commerce or a wannabe craigslist, left to your imagination.
Open your spam folder and Google any e-commerce name you got email from, andlook for the reviews. You will most probably find the reviews in 80/20proportion, 80 being bad and 20 being good, among whom again 80 beingengineered and 20 being genuine ones.

4. Daily Deals - The list won’t be complete withoutthis. Go to any of the daily deal site and take a critique look at the deals.You may find hundreds for each city. Now read the details of the deal and tryto arrive at a price for the product/service. You can’t. Pay Rs.199 and for aHealth/Dental/Spa/Astrology/Vehicle service worth Rs.2999. Does it really meanthat the service is worth Rs.2999. No. There are hardly any deals that you cancall them as genuine deals. The reason that deal sites won’t work, at least fornow, is that we Indians are deal-hunters, not deal-givers.

So who's winning?

Hardly anye-commerce player is making money. Still it is good for the ecosystem. There areWeb firms, ERP and CRM providers providing customizations according everybody's "unique" model. There are ad agencies and PR firms making money, not to forgetads ka baap, Google. Courier services have found a new revenue stream whilenewer ones are emerging exclusively for e-commerce. Of course, the customersare able to get products cheaper, thanks to the price wars. It feels reallygreat to see many world-class SaaS companies starting up in India to cater toe-commerce.

Future?

I completelybelieve that e-retailing is here to stay. But once the tides are down, we willknow the reality. I give 2 years for this to happen starting from today. Onlyhandful will survive who have invested in infrastructure, including warehouse,logistics, technology and payments. Rest will come out of their ostrich time.We cannot expect any government regulation promoting e-commerce, though we canwait till FDI in retail gets a clearance and see a bloodbath.

Though I haven'tdone any name calling, you can do a fact check by a match-the-followingexercise with these names - snapdeal.com, taggle.com, flipkart.com,infibeam.com, caratlane.com, fashionandyou.com, chhotu.in and many others notworth to be mentioned.

TRAI SMS Regulations - An Optimist's solution

Much has been blogged about whether TRAI did the right thing in handling the spams on phone. For most people it is a welcome move but many are confused.

As TRAI has defined 7 categories, you can either choose to opt in for a category or opt out of all messages in that category. TRAI should have made the subscription, not by category, but by the sender which would be a win-win situation for businesses as well as consumers. TRAI, instead of solving the problem, has introduced limit to the flow of information.

Rather than criticizing TRAI over its short-sighted measure, let us envision a simple and holistic solution.

Firstly, the masks should be unique. As a business, you have to define a mask and share it with your customers, who will in turn decide whether to opt in or not. The details of the masks and subscription have to be maintained by TRAI.

Following is an illustration for a website that has registered for the keyword 'DEALS' and how customers can subscribe to it. Remember keyword 'DEALS' is unique to this business/website and cannot be used by anybody else.

This simple solution would be beneficial to customers since they can choose from whom they would like to receive messages. Every SMS sent has to pass through NCPR, and only if registered, it should be delivered to the customer. This way, TRAI need not keep adding exceptions to its list of businesses as it did by publishing amendment to its law within 12 hours. This is going to be a continuous process as more and more businesses will be approaching TRAI to white-list them.

Though it is good to see that TRAI is serious in reducing the spam, it should have put more thought into its implementation. Anyways, I would be missing texts from all kinds of deals, hair and weight loss programs and all the coming-soon projects by top developers.

Wishlist for Google Docs and Youtube

Web has given us so many great products that we cannot live without. Though there is a lot of research gone into making our life easier, there are still some small things that can increase the user experience. This post is a continuation of my earlier post Gmail features - Wishlist

Though every writer/reader hates excessive usage of 'I', please note that the word represents the user in this post.

Following are some of the Minor changes that would make these great products still useful.

Uploading through the web interface -

If I am looking at a folder 'XL Folder' > 'L Folder' > 'M Folder' and go to the 'Upload…' I get to upload page, but I need to select the Destination Folder again !!!. It would be better if the current folder is set as default during the upload. If I could add Tags to every doc (Just like in Gmail), nothing like it.

Uploading through the Google Cloud Connect -

I create a document in MS-Office, use Google Cloud Connect to 'Sync'. Firstly, It does not give me an option to choose the folder I want to store it at. Secondly, it does not save it in the Google Docs format. In order to collaborate, I need to choose the option of making it a Google copy and then share it, effectively losing the link between copies of the document in my MS-Office and in Google Docs.

Copying from a Spreadsheet -

When I open a existing spreadsheet and copy a column, Content in the clipboard is limited to the loaded data only. I will only realise after doing all the data crunching on the partial data.

It would be better if Google docs warns me about partial content in the clipboard.

If I am streaming a video at 240px and switch to full screen, the resolution changes to a higher resolution automatically and streaming starts afresh, losing all the streamed data!!! C'mmon, I have waited for a while to load the video completely, though it is of lesser quality. Even if I change the resolution back to 240px continuing in Full screen or exit the full screen, streaming still starts afresh.

There is also a good option of 'Stop download' in the context menu. But on choosing that, again the streamed data is lost. It would be better if it stops download, but keeps the streamed data.

It would be better if the streamed data is cached. Still better, video is cached so that it need not be streamed if I am watching next week. Yes, there is a possibility that the video is removed by user or because of some violation, but still I can watch from the cached copy.

Then, Youtube can cache the data in encrypted form, and download only the decryption key every time I am watching the video, the key being available only if the video is still active at youtube.com

Just a thought - Suppose the video is downloaded in 240px, and then I switch to 480px, why the whole file be downloaded? Cant we just download the difference between the two, thus reducing the load on the server as well providing a better UX. Well, the existing compression algorithm won’t support this, but such a algo can definitely be developed. I am not an Encryption guru or a Video Codec specialist, but as I said earlier, 'Just a thought'. May be somebody who is in this field can throw some light.

Anatomy of a Marketing Tweet

Many businesses use Twitter for marketing. Though lot of strategies have been formed in twitter marketing, some simple aspects are often ignored. This post is about how to successfully 'brand' your tweet?
Lets take example of 20North.com, an e-commerce portal.

1. Logo and URL in the profile - Must
2. Call for action in every tweet like Buy, Grab, Join, Try .
3. Have your own URL Shortner. It is hardly a technical challenge to have one of your own that you have to choose popular shortners like bit.ly or tinyurl. Not only does it look cool, you can also extract some interesting analytics from it.
4. Source of the tweet : Often Ignored and set to 'web', 'Tweetdeck', 'Seesmic' or any other application it is sent from. Well, we got an extra place to push our link in and increase brand visibility, Why not just make use of it?
5. Hashtag : Use a hashtag for your business, Who knows someday it might become trending topic!!

GMail features - Wishlist

Undoubtedly, labs is one of the coolest features in GMail. Below are some of features, I would like to have in GMail.
1. Annotations inside E-Mail.
Sometimes, we need to add some more information to the mail, without sending it to anybody. I save them in drafts. Another work-around would be to add the mail to the 'Tasks List' and edit the description. But having a feature where we can add some Notes to the Mail is something more useful and easier.

2. Sync GMail settings between accounts
I have customised my regular GMail ID with various labels, themes, lab features, filters, spam filters and other settings. After getting another GMail ID (GMail App from my employer), I have to repeat the process of customising the new one. Though the work-around would be to forward all the mails to my regular ID, it still has some backbacks. If there is any feature using which I can just copy all the settings to another ID, it would be awesome.

3. Attachments from Google Docs / Google Drive(Or Whatever you call it)
Instead of attaching a file from our computer, an option of attaching a file from Google storage or Google docs, while composing mail would make our life easier.

4. Return receipts.
Quite often we need to acknowledge the mail to the sender. This can be easier, if there is a option of sending a return receipt of the mail.

5. Unsubscribe from particular thread in Google Groups
Google allows us to either subscribe to all the mails or do not subscribe any or get a daily digest. But what about the gray area? I am interested in reading all the mails from the group, but some subjects are completely irrelevant to me. Added to the problem,it appears in the top of my Inbox every time somebody adds to the thread. If there is a option of unsubscribing/ archiving a particular thread, it would save some time.

Wordpress Bug

I was just posting on to my blog at trimbill.com/blog. Yes that's my new venture. ll write a post about that soon.

This is hosted using wordpress plugin provided by my webhost, GoDaddy.

Now, the post had this headline,
"New Internet Connection… Help!!"

So, by default setting of wordpress, it set the permalink of the post to
http://trimbill.com/blog/2009/10/new-internet-connection…-help

By commonsense, These dots in the url are sure to create problem.

If you go to that page, there is a 404 error.
Also, Because of this, comments cannot be posted.

So, whats the solution?
I got over it by manually editing the permalink to
http://trimbill.com/blog/2009/10/new-internet-connection/

Wordpress can fix it by ignoring the dots while creating the permalink automatically using the title of the post. Hope they ll consider this.

Why Firefox still scores over Google Chrome

A lot have been talked about Google chrome. Rounding up , Its better because , it wont crash, is very fast, makes good use of the real estate on your display, manages downloads, operate in incognito mode etc. Its scores negative in few features like, dropdown bar in the url field is absent, history can be viewed date wise only, no extensions, privacy invasion etc.

In this post, I am ‘throwing some light’ on more drawbacks/bugs.

1. If the link is opened in new tab, the color doesn’t change till you refresh.
The search term in the screenshot is “google chrome”. We can see that the first and second links are purple colored indicating that the link is present in the history, while others, which aren’t in the history, are blue in color.

Now, lets open the wikipedia link, which is still blue, indicating that the link is unopened.
Even after opening those links in new tabs, the color doesn’t change until you refresh the page.

2. What the heck is this?

I get this whenever I close the chrome and reopen with a google search result page open. Interestingly, it happens only for the google page.

3. While we switch tabs, the page is white for a brief period of time. More heavy the page is, greater is this time, sometime to the tune of 7-8 secs. Sometimes, it makes the user wonder that the page is really blank.

4. While the picture attachments in gmail are being opened, loading is not shown.While in the firefox, we know something is still getting loaded in that mail.

5. Gtalk window is not fully compatible! Just do this to know. open any gtalk window and then resize your chrome window, first make it small and again enlarge... poof! your gtalk window is gone. Or put your cursor on any text in the gtalk window and drag down using your mouse. Now did you get that white patch in the bottom?

Here is a compilation of some basic improvements that can be made in further releases.
a. ? searches using the default search engine. A similar hot key in the address bar which will mock the 'I'm feeling lucky' button is needed.
b. User must be able to customise the new tab page with his own set of thumbnails.
c. More similar customisation settings are needed for more advanced users.
d. I didnt understand why the forward button is inactive while I m in Gmail page.
e. Last but not the least, holy cow, I cant see the title of the webpage at all, as the title bar itself is removed.

Hope these issues are addressed in the subsequent releases.

Here is a hack that enables you to save a couple of bucks if u r already a member r otherwise.
1. For yet-to-become members,
Sign up as usual, and check the Promotional code checkbox. Now google out "librarywala +promotion code" with r without quotes.

Just check the first two results, first is of barclaycard and the second is of axisbank. I guess the barclaycard offer is over, so use the axisbank promotion code "libaxis639" and sign-up... gr8 you just saved at Rs.499 membership fees.
ok... let me clarify... It doesnt really matter weather you are using axis bank credit-card or any other mode of payment, it just goes unnoticed.

2. For existing members,

Simple math will show you how much you will be saving.

Bookmyshow.com is one of the premier sites for booking movies in India. This hack is about blocking all the seats in the cinemahall.
First, lets start reserving. Choose the city, theater and the show. At one time, we can reserve maximum of 6 seats only(in some halls, it is 10). So, reserve 6 seats and press ‘Continue’, then ‘Pay Now’ and you will be taken to the payment options page.

Now, open a new tab/window and repeat the process. Keep doing this in new tabs until all the seats are blocked.

Well, It can be solved by looking at the IP address from where the request is coming...
Two things to consider,
One, you gotta be fast to block them, as the seats get unblocked after 10 minutes automatically. Two, online booking won't be available few hours (in some cases 2 hrs) prior to the show.
If you feel lazy to keep it doing by yourself, use any macro recorder like jitbit and keep it running on a machine, sit back and enjoy... Nobody will be able to book the tickets until u give up...LOL...
Same logic can be applied to other similar sites too(Works out in inoxmovies.com too)...Please update in the comment section if anybody tries in other sites.

You got to pass through a CAPTCHA test whenever you want to crate a new thread in the orkut community forums. But say, you are submitting 2 threads on different communities,
You get 'CAPTCHA 1' then 'CAPTCHA 2'. Now you can authenticate either of them by the text in captcha 2.

Also, even if the second authentication is right, it fails, as it considers only the last image sent to the computer.

As in the above case, INEL came first followed by ANDO. But you can authenticate first one only by 'ando', not 'inel'. Then type anything under second one ie ANDO, it fails.
Definitely, not a major bug. Still, a bug is a bug.

Hacking DC++: Overcoming Share restrictions

First Note:
DC++ is a advertisement free, P2P file sharing client.
BCDC++, fulDC, StrongDC, ApexDC, LinuxDC++ are some of the popular mods.
I am using fulDC as a standard for this tutorial.

The Hub Admin can set a minimum amount of share you must have to connect to the hub. If you find the restrictions insane, you have other options.

Trick 1 : Network Share
It allows direct network shares as in \\173.23.24.112\movies etc. More interestingly, if you dont want to depend on others, you can have your own network shares hashed like \\mypc\movies. If that is not sufficient, you can also share a subfolder like \\mypc\movies\korean and hash it differently ( The client assumes both of them to be different ). So, you have now effectively shared korean folder thrice. This funda can go upto (sub)^n folders.

Trick 2: Fake Files
Some softwares allow you to create files which show huge file size though they consume only a few kbs on your hard-disk. This one is my favourite - Huge Small File. It allows you to create upto 4GB file which consumes about 5kb of your disk.
But creating a insane number of shares will drag the attention of your peers/admins. Name those files which nobody ever want to check out( Use your creativity depending on your hub peers). FYI, Whenever somebody else downloads that file, he will download the file of 4 GB (or whatever) size. So, its quite safe.

Trick 3: Fake Shares
For this, you need to know how does DC work. Your share information are stored in three files, files.xml.bz2, shares.xml.bz2 and HashIndex.xml. Just look at the organisation of these files, Everything is self-Explanatory.
Use bzip2 for decompression into .xml and compression back to .xml.bz2. Remember to set your preferences not to refresh file list.
Just an example:
Lets increase the size of a file. First locate the already hashed file in HashIndex.xml under , then copy the Root of the file in the same line and search for it under , change the size of the file in the same line. Now decompress files.xml.bz2 and share.xml.bz2 into .xml formats and search for the same file again and change the file size. Now compress both of them back into .bz2 and replace the original files.
Similarly, you can add more files which are actually not there, or copy and paste few lines (can be yours or your friends) under a dummy directory.

End Result: Insane share(Well... it can go still beyond...)

What is it?

It is a add-on to browser from where you can control your media player without leaving the browser. Works with firefox and IE7, latter just doesnt matter anyway(lolz). It supports almost all the popular media players and some unpopulars too.

What can I do?

You can control the volume, change the track, play, pause, stop. You can also check the details of the track being played and also search for its lyrics, artist, album etc on the web. Opting to hide the player is a cool option, you dont see the player in taskbar or tray.

For example, while playing pink floyd, I can be linked to the page showing its bios, videos, photos, radio, shopping etc very cleanly arranged. You can also choose which widget to show among youtube, flickr, pandora, amazon, lyricwiki and few others.

IP Spoofing for Dummies

If this above message seems familiar to you, this article is just for you, whether you are the victim or otherwise. For safe IP spoofing, so as to avoid fine by the hostel office, or sometimes, even worse, avoid canteen lectures by victims , following simple things can be taken care of.

Firstly, change your MAC ID. It is a unique ID of every network card. For changing it, you have to make scores of settings, instead download macadresschanger.exe and change the ID whatever you wish it to be.

Secondly, look for an free IP. Download any network scanner. Angry IP Scanner comes handy. It shows the offline IPs in red. Alternately type "nbtstat -a" followed by IP in your command prompt. But this hit n trial method takes quite a time.

Thirdly, change some attributes. Change the Computer Name and Computer Description. Sharing some folders can lead to some good guesses. Some network scanners even show the username you are working on. Change the username too.

NETiquette: Whenever you get the message in the figure, please go to step 1 and start once again. Of course, he/she might be the person who has paid for it. OR if you choose to use it hopelessly, disable your messaging service from 'Computer Management'>Services And Applications>Services>Messenger to avoid leave-my-ip messages....

Flood Orkut scrapbooks....

Hey, I am back, now with a technical stuff…. The use of JavaScript to flood your friends in their Orkut.com scrapbook though still work, and there are various other techniques available, this one is mine. Orkut scrapbook’s new avatar no doubt seems amazing with options to reply, view 10,20,or 30 scraps in a page and new ‘delete selected scraps’ button. However Mr. Orkut Buyukkokten should have checked for a loophole in the new reply system. After replying someone in the drop-down box, and refresh the page, the person gets the same scrap again.

To avoid it, each time you have to go back to Home and then come back to scrapbook. I even came across few people blaming their poor browser or account having some sort of weird problem of scrapping people on its own.

Yeah, I was mentioning something. If you are using Firefox, which happens to be my favorite, install this extension ReloadEvery 2.0. Now, go to your scrapbook and find the page in which your would-be victim has scrapped you. Using the reply option, type whatever you want and submit. [ Tip: To send blank scrap, type any tag like [b], [i] etc.] Now, set the extension to reload the page at the interval inversely proportional to the frequency of scrap entries you want and enable. So if you set it to reload every second, he will get 60 scraps in one minute!!! Of course, your bandwidth must be quite good. If you have still better bandwidth, keep it running on more tabs. Now, there is a catch. You can’t just keep on spamming as there is some limit of scrapping per day. After nearly two thousand scraps in a day to my victims , I couldn’t scrap anyone. I was afraid if my account got reported for this. But no problem, you can start it again the next day.

Till now, I couldn’t find any way to avoid this other than adding the spammer to your ignore list or deleting all his scraps in your scrapbook.

Happy spamming….. till this gets fixed..... But, is it necessary?

PS: Hey does anyone need to type Pre-Script? anyways... Why didnt Preity Zinta fall in love with Jadoo in KMG? coz it could not perform anything without DHOOOOOOOOOOP.....

What would happen if u take all the powers of hollywood superheroes, grind properly, make a cock-tail and feed it to Hrithik Roshan, Undoubtedly you will get our own desi superhero-Krishna err... KRRISH.. who can fly like superman, swing like spidey, jump like hulk, fast as callisto(x-3),climb trees like tarzan, bash the baddies like neo.. the list goes on

So, now it is about 20 years since JADOO has gone back to his home. Due to some incident, lets say, X, Rohit Mehra and his wife are no more. But have a son Krishna for whom 'legacy is passed', now with extra power. When Rekha realises about this, takes him to a village and starts fresh life. Here, comes the Hrithik part-2 in his pyjamas and a top(name left to one's imagination), sleeveless, t-shirt,banian whatever... they still remain dirty though his grandma uses abundant amount of tide to wash clothes. Now, enters Priyanka Chopra in a glider.... and need not say, our hero saves her from a deadly accident. What would you do if you see someone like Krrish? Your curiosity just does not end up by taking some videos of this guy. Special effects used in the crap 'Kalicharan-Lalcharan' story did not have any effect on the normal audience. Hrithik also plays Volleyball... but how? Serve: He throws the ball up... agreed, jumps...agreed, hits....agreed, Ball tares the volley-net...agreed, goes some 100 meters..agreed, hits a rock...agreed, bounces...agreed, rock develops visible cracks but the ball is still round...agreed!!!Roshans did not spare Rajnikant too... and now, our hero is in love but priyanka has to leave to singapore after her camp.
Since chopra is late to her office back in singapore, she is loosing her job and wants a documentary on this 'talented guy' of India to protect her job. When krishna wants to go to singapore and get his love back, rekha recites X.... His dad Rohit had been to Singapore for creating a computer which can predict future for our villain-nasaruddeen shah. In singapore, our hero starts doing some jackie-chan also in the middle of road. Here is the making of superhero...The couple goes to a Circus... The people who had come to see circus are more amused of 'Dil Nadiya' and forgot why they were there .... may be because majority of them were Indians. Saves some kids from the fire that breaks out and becomes every child's favourite instantly. Krrish sooner comes to know that Priyanka actually fooled him on the topic 'love' and is ready to go back... and bang!!! He comes to know the rest X/2. His dad is alive!!!

When Rohit had built the computer (You can see your death in the computer with dts quality audio and also with superb quality videography...again in filmi style)single handedly, he comes to know his boss is a bad-guy and destroys it. But he had to be kept alive since he himself will be the password if it is built again... Guess what the passwords are for this 'Minority Report' kind of computer? his retina and Heart-beat... Gosh.. I really didnt know about uniqueness of everyones heart-beat. So, Rohit is kept under very 'tight' security in some island, his mind working but not body, one more Minority report fundaa. Now, Krrish after knowing that his father whose legacy has been passed on to him, could not save himself from the hands of normal mortals, starts chasing Nasarudden shah’s Helicopter... Seriously, I did not understand the trajectory of Helicopter and Krrish for a single moment.. Who was chasing whom???? Krrish enters tight-security zone.... mind you it is very tight...because there are morons in their tribal dress fighting with something like sword and there is a single pistol in the island. Again you wont understand x,y and z coordinates of krrish who beats the bad-guys black and blue.... Here he was a Mithun Chakraborty rather...The single pistol had a success rate of 33.33% with 3 fires and 1 death. N. Shan was unsuccessful in do-that-else-your-love-will-die style of bollywood.

Climax-Krrish is back to his grandma with ek-ke-saath-ek-free offer of her son and his love. Rohit now sits on his comp err... his dad's and pings Jadoo...and jadoo replies instantly.... No Cable, No Internet... New era of IMs... Though the computer can only send om.. om.. om.. om, as for now, further developments will surely be a breakthrough. So all those at Yahoo, Gtalk, Skype, AIM and ICQ better get ready for this or opt to follow MSNs 'The Road Ahead-Philantropy' policy.

Though the use of strings in action sequences look cool... they could not make upto hollywood standards with Hrithik...And if Roshans produce yet another sequel .... what extra powers will rekha's greatson will possess remains the question. Rajesh roshan's music was upto standard... his standard. Rakesh has used abundant brand ads including Siyarams, Tide, Vicks, Hero Honda, Karizma, Lays. The film which cost 50 Crores already made double of it within 10 days of release.

Its been very long since I posted… enough to be called extinct, but who knows, even dinosaurs can be just endangered. This long-enough can be defined by ‘I clicked the Forgot your Password? Button follwed by a recover my username button’. The sitemeter people mail me every now and then, number of visits to this page which will be full of typical digital electronics characters.
I really don’t want to eat away a fundoo url and waste a fundoo caption.

All my school days, I thought novels are always for jobless people, housewives and old and bedridden people. I really wondered to see my friends over here who read those thick fat books which read the authors name in Bold and Large font and the title lying somewhere around in a small font unimportantly and I tell you, if you were one of my kind, these dudes in those bold large fonts can write about a single flower for complete five A5 size sheets!!! Reading a 9.5.4.1... from schilling-belove, the electronics bestseller would be easier than reading these literary explanations of biological sepals, petals etc. I thought. As I remember, it was only a page from some Sidney-Sheldon book which my friend had showed me in my 7th standard and we went around asking our batch mates in the dormitory to read. Some of them became so tensed as if they were standing in the position of a rape-convict. And the others were excited more than Thomas Edison when he invented bulb.

It was the summer when we just finished our 4th sem exams and got vacation. I wasnt so excited about the vacations ( I am not one among those who would shout 'Exams Over, time to party guys' as if they came out of a erupting volcano perfectly fine) but exams did not go so bad either.

A sunny day, I got down at Borivilli along with Sandy n Chandru. So, just to make some groundnuts (timepass, I mean), Ashu took us to roam around the city until sandy was excited at some place and said, "Look there, some books". Bloody, I was just thinking of getting rid of books for few weeks, this chap is .... He wanted some Shantaram, Gangaram stuff. He said "Le you also just see. there are nice books here", looking at the heap of books in a basket which the vendor was selling like road-side vada-pav shouting "pachas rupay ek, kuch bhi lo, pachas rupay ek". Just then my sight went over this book which had Steve's photo over it. I still dont know why, without second thought I handed over pachas rupay to him as if it was a good bargain to have pirated version of whole of California for a single note.

Local Train Same Day 2100hrs
I was standing near the entrance holding something above me though the forces around me balanced just like those of typical NCERT physics books diagrams, catching this book like a filmfare award. Thanks to plastic ban, Sandy was holding some 3 books there. I wonder how people carry grocery and milk there. May be people carry a litre of milk in mugs every morning, anyway nobody will misunderstand them I guess.

I had to leave for Bangalore by Inter-city after an hour. Packed whatever things I found necessary and even unnecessary. At last when I was about to lift the bag, I saw this book again on the table which had been lying there unmoved for 2 weeks. I just took it, not exactly to read but may be it would be a good alternative to handkerchief for reserving my seat in the train through 'window-service'. One would feel good to replace a close-up photo of Jobs by his own personal and special bum. As train started, I looked at the book and thought it would be another five-pages-per-flower type. And one go, I finished off about 90 pages just like I drove 100kmph in my first drive itself.

Need not worry, I wont try to write some review of the book. Overall, The book is a good read. Besides the story of apple, it gives some insights of Jobs, sometimes as a con... Thats why the name. It was released under controversy with Jobs sueing Wiley. Apple stopped selling Wiley's books in its stores and declared its series of 'Mac for Dummies' as outdated. Watching Pirates of Silicon Valley prior to this, will increase your interest.

Watched so many people out here in svnit 'blogging'. so why leave this unfragged? So, thought of entering this 'blogosphere' myself. My first blog is dedicated to the new genre of spammers. Guess whom am i talking about yourself... read on.....

Disturbing your 6 pm sleep continuosly for 3 days, your phone starts ringing 'yeah yeah' (by usher). looking at an unknown airtel number, when you recieve the call and hear to that regular irritating tone of a soft voiced lady who says 'namaskar e airtel ke taraf se muft call hai...', you go nuts,bolts,screws, hinges etc.

You have just come to your room after recharging hundreds, you start recieving hundred messages in your inbox telling you about various recharge options and the most irritating of all smses like 'to recieve daily tips on housekeeping......'.if this is not a spam then what else do you call?

You want to call your friend very urgently just before the first period asking him to give your proxy, your operator is more excited as usual to tell you to recharge with new 'white elephant' scheme of theirs again through the same fuckin lady to whom you cant say 'Shut up. I already have a thousand in my credit'. I really went mad one day when after waiting for her to finish and next voice says he is swithced off.

Now for almost all the cell users....even you give a good competition to your operator by smsing your friends all day long the so-called forwards, rather the spams,the mobile-spams
